George Adams was born in 1878 in Normanton, Derby. He was the eldest brother of Arthur Adams and like him he worked for sometime on the farm. In 1904 he married Ethel Adams from Scropton and in 1905 they had twin boys, George and Norman. The 1911 census shows George working as a brewery cellarman still living in Mackworth, but no longer with his parents. As with his brother, no service records can be identified for George, due to the very common name. George died on the 28th December 1966, aged 89 and is buried in All Saints Churchyard.
